Les Brown Jr. and the Band of Renown Kick Off
2006 Season In Branson
Les Brown Jr. and the Band of Renown began their regular season on April
10th, with new treats and old favorites.
Singing impressionist Bob
Anderson returns for the 2006 season with his amazing recreations of
performances by great singers like Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and Tom
Jones.
Jana
King Evans has returned as the female vocalist. Jana first
performed with the Band of Renown at the Opening Ceremonies of the
Veteran's Homecoming Celebration in November 2004. Jana has
a long and successful career as singer, working with stars that include
Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond and Tom Jones. You may also
recognize her voice from the State Farm Insurance jingle ("Like a
good neighbor..."), and from her performances in Pam Tillis' show in
Branson. Jana has country music in her blood, but you'll find that her
sultry performances of the standards are an unforgettable pleasure.
McKenna Medley is the newest addition to the 2006 Branson season. You will be stunned by the rich, strong voice that emerges from the petite and pretty 19-year old. McKenna comes by her talent honestly and naturally. She is the daughter of Bill Medley, who has had a four-decade career as a successful singer, both as a solo artist and as the deep bass voice of the Righteous Brothers.
Show time at 2pm, with performances through June 15th. Returning September 9th through December 9th. Call the theater at 417-334-3210or 800-334-1936 for
tickets and
information.
